The ICanPlaySport programme is split into 3 different age groups
All our classes are well structured and generally include:
- a warm up
- skills development through individual and group activities
- a modified game
- cool down activity
The content of individual classes varies depending on age, activity and interests of the particular group of children.
Toddlers (age 2-3)
In our Toddlers classes, we introduce your child to the very beginning of sport.
With support from parents the children take part in activities such as mini obstacle challenges, individual and group games, using specialist right-sized sports equipment.
We focus on having fun and finish with a whole group parachute game at the end!
Juniors (age 3-5)
Our Juniors classes are the next step up from the 2 and 3 year olds.
We include a wider range of challenges and games across all 7 of our key sports.
We include more sport specific skills, like dribbling a basketball and passing a hockey ball (and we still have some fun with the parachute!) Our Juniors are encouraged to work as a team to meet challenges and to help each other out too.
Seniors (age 5-7)
Our Senior classes are where everything comes together at ICanPlaySport.
We continue to develop agility, balance and co-ordination, but we mix it up with more competitive opportunities and games while keeping the emphasis on fun and enjoyment.

At ICanPlaySport we’re aware that all children are different and they grow and mature at different paces. The age brackets for each class are a guide, not a rule and some children may move on slightly quicker than others.
If you aren’t sure which class to book for your child, contact us or talk to your coach for advice. Please don’t move your child into an older class until it has been agreed with your coach.
